(and other forms of HRT drugs including: Prempro, Premphase, Prempac, and Premelle) These prescription medications are made up of conjugated estrogens obtained from the urine of pregnant mares and are delivered to consumers in many forms (pills, creams, injections, patches, vaginal rings). HRT drugs are used to reduce the symptoms of menopause in women and as therapy for women who have had a hysterectomy. But these are drugs that are made inhumanely! The mares providing the urine used to make HRT medications are kept pregnant their entire lives and their urine is collected in an inhumane way to help supply millions of US women on the drug. When the mares are too old and cannot produce foals anymore, they are shipped off to slaughter houses for their meat for human consumption in other countries. And most of the times their foals were also slaughtered!!! Despicable and heinous crimes are being committed against these beautiful, loving, and innocent creatures each day in the creation of pharmaceuticals We must stop these unspeakable crimes to our equine friends!
